The decision to leave, to migrate, can be taken in an intimate and private moment of reflection, followed by communication to your family, to those you love.
It can also be the result of a choice dictated by collective needs that transcend individual necessities, or it can even be imposed by circumstances such as unemployment, war, ethnic, political or religious persecution.
In this area, through five theatrical reconstructions, the audience is offered a selection of possible scenarios that have taken place over time at the moment of the deciding whether or not to migrate: from the departure of the nineteenth-century “trailblazers”, those who were the first to embark upon the migratory experience, initiating the “migratory chains” and becoming a reference point for relatives and fellow countrymen, to contemporary departures, undertaken as a choice or to take a once in a lifetime opportunity.
