Nieves Bisio was born in 1956 in Buenos Aires to Italian parents who had emigrated to Argentina in 1948. Nostalgia for Italy and the political climate in Argentina drove the family to return to Italy.
In 1974, while Nieves was finishing high school, her parents decided to move the family back to Italy.
Nieves became an emigrant in her homeland... She still thinks in Spanish today.
